"I’ll try not to worry so much. I’ll be good to my fellow eggs, and at the same time, I’ll be good to myself... The other eggs aren't perfect, and I don't have to be perfect either."
Meet the Good Egg in this story—she is a very good egg indeed, truly good, unlike all the other eggs she lives with in the large carton, who behave very badly. The Good Egg becomes exhausted and suffers from psychological pressure due to her relentless attempts to remain perfect and change the behavior of the eggs around her. But when cracks begin to appear on her shell, she makes a life-changing decision that leads to saving her shell and her complete recovery.
Following their first masterpiece, The Bad Seed, the dynamic duo Jory John and Pete Oswald collaborate again to bring us this clever and funny tale. It reminds us of the importance of balance, moderation, self-care, and accepting those we love—even if they sometimes act like "bad eggs."
This story will make everyone laugh, young and old, whether in group or individual readings, and each one of us will find a bit of ourselves and our struggles within it. This wonderful story is perfect for everyone.
